There's something about William David Walsh's photography that hits a raw nerve inside. Perhaps it's simply the beauty or perhaps it's simply the rawness. Either way, the mysterious allure of beauty in his work makes me wish I was elsewhere!

Romance Was Born RAFW '11
Every year I got more and more excited to see what Romance Was Born has created. It has to be my favourite show for Australian Fashion Week because of its innovativeness and originality! This year their Oracle collection was inspired by the Never Ending Story, and so imaginative it was! The assortment of colours, textures and patterns created an element of craziness yet classic beauty. Although the pieces don't look cohesive together, the understanding of the story behind it makes it all make sense.
Bec and Bridge RAFW '11
With being the first show at RAFW standards have to be set, and in some respect Bec and Bridge did that. The Violet Haze Collection, which drew inspiration from iconic actress Lauren Hutton, was very pretty. The pieces were white and pastel in tone, and the Dahlia floral print appeared in a variety of dresses and skirts. It's not really my up of tea as it is a little too feminine, but the designs were very simple and well made.
